Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy is one of those weird little Game Boy Color exclusives that somehow slipped under the radar. It's not quite like the console versions—more of a side-scrolling shooter with some platforming bits thrown in. You still get Jim's goofy humor and that gross-out charm, but the controls feel a little stiff compared to the SNES days.
First few minutes? You're blasting through space with that iconic worm-in-a-suit swagger, shooting bubblegum monsters and dodging asteroids. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed—Jim’s helmet even reflects light in that classic GBC way. Not gonna lie, the level design gets repetitive fast, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the chaos.
If you’re a diehard Earthworm Jim fan, it’s a neat curiosity. Just don’t expect it to hold up like the big-screen versions.
