I picked up EX Monopoly on the Game Boy Advance back when it was new. It was one of those games that just appeared on the shelf, and I don't recall a specific developer or publisher being heavily advertised. It fit right in with the other portable board game adaptations of that era, offering a familiar experience you could take anywhere.

You control your token, moving around the board to buy properties and build houses. The main goal is to bankrupt your opponents by charging them rent when they land on your spaces. The game uses a turn-based structure where you roll dice, move, and then decide to purchase or trade. A signature mechanic is the property trading screen, where you can negotiate deals with the AI. Another is managing your cash flow carefully to avoid landing on a developed property you can't afford. The pacing is methodical, and the AI can be surprisingly aggressive in the later stages, making for a decent challenge. It feels like a solid, straightforward version of the classic game that works well for short sessions.
