E.t. The Extra Terrestrial : Digital Companion Game

Okay, so this is basically a tiny, portable version of the E.T. movie for your Game Boy Color. You play as the little alien dude, wandering around trying to collect phone parts (because, you know, he needs to phone home). The pixel art actually nails that warm, fuzzy 80s movie vibe—lots of browns and greens that somehow make you feel nostalgic even if you weren’t alive back then.
Gameplay’s simple but weirdly satisfying. You’ll be dodging scientists, helping Elliot, and yeah, occasionally floating in that iconic bike basket. It’s not super deep, but there’s something charming about guiding E.T. through those tiny forests and suburbs. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s more like hanging out with an old friend who occasionally gets stuck in pixelated ditches.
If you grew up with the movie, it’s a cute little time capsule. Otherwise, you might wonder why everyone’s so obsessed with a wrinkly alien and Reese’s Pieces.
