Okay, so this is the GBA version of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and honestly? It’s way better than that Atari 2600 disaster. You play as E.T., obviously, wandering around forests and suburbs trying to collect phone parts while avoiding feds in suits. The pixel art’s actually pretty cute—E.T.’s little glowing finger bobbing around as he waddles is weirdly charming.
Gameplay’s a mix of light puzzles and sneaking. You’ll hide in bushes when agents get close, toss Reese’s Pieces to distract dogs (classic), and yeah, eventually build that iconic phone. Some of the level designs feel a little cramped on the GBA screen, but the music nails that nostalgic Spielberg vibe. If you grew up with the movie, it’s a fun little time capsule—just don’t expect a deep challenge.
Also, pro tip: save often. Those government guys show up out of nowhere sometimes.
