E-swat - City Under Siege Game

E-SWAT on the Sega Master System is one of those late '80s cyberpunk shooters that somehow nails the vibe despite the hardware limits. You start off as a regular cop in a neon-drenched city, but after the first stage, you finally get your hands on the exosuit—and that’s when things get fun. Suddenly, you’re stomping through streets, blasting gangsters with a spread shot that feels way too satisfying for an 8-bit game.
The side-scrolling action’s simple but punishing—enemies come at you from all angles, and the bosses are no joke. I remember getting wrecked by the first helicopter fight until I figured out the pattern. The soundtrack’s got that classic Sega synth grit, and the sprite work actually holds up for a Master System title. It’s not as polished as the arcade version, but there’s something charming about its janky, overambitious energy. If you’re into retro shooters with a side of cheese, this one’s worth a few credits.
