About Duke Nukem (en,fr,de,es,it)
I picked up Duke Nukem for the Game Boy Color back in 1999. It was developed by 3D Realms, and it felt like a solid attempt to bring that kind of action to a handheld. For its time on the system, it was a recognizable name trying to fit a bigger experience onto a small screen.
You control Duke Nukem through a series of side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to fight through aliens, find keys to open doors, and ultimately stop the alien threat. The gameplay involves running and gunning; you jump across platforms and shoot a variety of weapons, from pistols to laser guns. You also pilot a hoverboard in some sections, which changes the pace. The game can be quite difficult, with precise jumps and aggressive enemies. It feels like a fast paced, challenging run and gun experience from start to finish.
