Duel Masters 2 - Kirifuda Shoubu Version (j)(caravan) Game

Duel Masters 2 on the GBA is basically the card battler for people who wanted something faster than Yu-Gi-Oh but still with that anime flair. You start off picking your deck—I went with the fire creatures first because, well, explosions—and then it’s straight into quick, no-nonsense duels. The Kirifuda Shoubu version adds some extra cards and tweaks to the rules, so if you played the original, there’s enough here to feel fresh.
What’s cool is how snappy it feels compared to other GBA card games. No endless menus or drawn-out animations—just summon your monsters, throw down some spells, and try not to get wrecked by the AI’s surprisingly decent deck builds. The pixel art for the creatures is actually pretty sharp, especially for a handheld title from 2005.
It’s not the deepest strategy game out there, but for quick matches on the go, it holds up way better than it has any right to.
