Driver : You Are The Wheelman Game

Driver: You Are The Wheelman on Game Boy Color is way more intense than you’d expect from a tiny cartridge. You start off as this getaway driver taking jobs—some missions have you dodging cops, others are straight-up demolition derbies where you wreck rival cars before they wreck you. The top-down view takes some getting used to, but once you do, weaving through traffic at full speed feels surprisingly good.
What I love is how punishing it is—mess up a turn and you’re instantly surrounded by cop cars, and the AI doesn’t let up. The pixelated city actually feels alive with traffic patterns you can learn (or exploit). It’s got that classic "one more try" energy when you fail a mission by seconds. Just don’t expect the same open-world freedom as the console versions—this one’s all about tight, arcade-style chaos.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro driving games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a blast. The soundtrack’s basically just engine noise and sirens, but somehow it works.
