You control one of the main characters from the series, like Goku or Vegeta, and the goal is to defeat your opponent in one-on-one battles. The fighting is straightforward; you have a weak and a strong attack, and you can charge up your ki to unleash a super move, like a Kamehameha wave. The mechanics are simple, focusing on landing combos and trying to time your special attacks correctly. Matches can feel a bit slow, and the difficulty is inconsistent, sometimes spiking unexpectedly against the computer. Ultimately, it feels like a basic attempt to translate the franchise's fights into a playable form.
