Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku is one of those GBA games that really nails the feeling of being Goku—you start off as a kid throwing punches at dinosaurs, and before long you're powering up to take on Raditz, Vegeta, and eventually Frieza. The combat's simple but satisfying, especially when you start unlocking those classic DBZ moves like the Kamehameha. Just don't expect deep RPG mechanics—it's more about smashing through iconic moments from the Saiyan and Frieza sagas with some light exploration thrown in.
Fair warning: the controls feel a little stiff at first, especially if you're used to smoother action RPGs. But once you get the hang of charging ki and dodging energy blasts, it's weirdly addictive. The sprite work still holds up too—seeing Goku go Super Saiyan on that tiny screen never gets old.
