Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers on Game Boy Color is exactly what you'd expect from a Disney platformer—goofy, colorful, and just the right amount of frustrating when you miss a jump for the fifth time. You play as Donald (obviously), bouncing between floating platforms, smacking weird little enemies with your tail feathers, and collecting enough golden duck statues to make Scrooge McDuck jealous.
The first level throws you straight into it—running through a carnival dodging clowns and jumping on trampolines while that classic GBC chiptune version of the Disney soundtrack plays. It's got that early 2000s charm where everything is just slightly too slippery, but in a way that makes you want to try again instead of rage-quitting.
Merlock kidnapped Daisy (because of course he did), so you're basically platforming your way through a bunch of themed worlds—haunted mansions, pirate ships, the usual. The puzzles aren’t brain-melters, but some of the later levels actually get pretty creative with switches and timed jumps. And yeah, you’ll probably yell "Aw, phooey!" at least once when you fall into a pit.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you grew up with a Game Boy Color in your hands, this one hits that sweet spot between nostalgia and actually still being fun to play.
