About Domo-kun No Fushigi Television
I picked up Domo-kun No Fushigi Television back in 2002, a Game Boy Advance title from Jorudan. It was a time when the GBA library was filling out with all sorts of experiments, and this one definitely stood out. You don't see many games starring a fuzzy, brown TV station mascot.
You control Domo-kun himself, navigating through a series of single-screen rooms. The main goal is to find and collect a set of mysterious video tapes scattered across the levels. Your primary tool is your mouth; you can bite certain objects and enemies, which is as strange as it sounds. The exploration is methodical, moving from one contained screen to the next, figuring out how to manipulate the environment to progress. The difficulty comes from the puzzles and timing your actions just right, rather than intense combat. It feels like a quiet, slightly odd puzzle box you are patiently unpacking.
