I picked up Disney's Lion King for the Game Boy Advance back when it came out. It was a 2003 release from Disney Interactive, and it fit right in with the platform's library of movie tie-ins. You don't see many games like this anymore, the kind that tried to translate an animated film directly into a side-scrolling adventure.

You control Simba through a series of levels that follow the movie's story. The main goal is to survive from his cub days all the way to his final confrontation with Scar. The gameplay involves a lot of platform jumping across the Pride Lands and combat where you pounce and claw at hyenas and other enemies. You also collect special items, like bugs and chameleons, to unlock bonus areas. The pacing can feel a bit slow in the early stages, and some of the platforming requires precise timing, making it challenging for a younger player. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes difficult, journey through the film's key moments.
