I picked up Disney Sports Motocross for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was a Konami title, which was a bit of a surprise since you usually associate Disney with different publishers. On a system filled with platformers and RPGs, this was one of the few motocross games trying to capture that handheld racing feel.

You control a Disney character on a motorbike, racing against others or trying to beat time limits. The main goal is straightforward: win the race. A couple of mechanics stand out. You can perform stunts in the air for a speed boost upon landing, which is crucial for maintaining momentum. There is also a turbo system you manage, preventing your engine from overheating while giving you bursts of speed. The tracks have a decent amount of jumps and tight turns, making the pacing fairly quick. It is not an easy game; the physics can be unforgiving if you misjudge a landing. The overall feeling is a mix of frustration and satisfaction when you finally nail a clean lap.
