I picked up Disney Sports Basketball for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a game published by Konami. It was a time when seeing familiar characters in unexpected sports games was a common sight on the handheld. This one aimed to put a Disney spin on the basketball court.

You control a team of Disney characters, like Mickey or Goofy, in a three-on-three basketball match. The main goal is to outscore the opposing team by passing, stealing, and shooting the ball. A few mechanics stand out: you can perform special moves that are unique to each character, and you can build up a super meter to unleash a powerful, flashy shot that's harder to block. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can spike noticeably against later opponents, demanding more precise timing on your passes and jumps.
