Disney Princess: Royal Adventure on the GBA is basically a love letter to anyone who grew up obsessed with these characters. You jump between Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and a few others—each with their own little story bits and themed levels. The pixel art actually holds up surprisingly well, especially the castle backdrops.
Gameplay’s pretty straightforward—light platforming, some item collecting, and those classic Disney-style puzzles where you help characters by fetching things or solving minor dilemmas. The underwater section with Ariel controls a little floaty, but hey, that kinda fits, right? Meanwhile, Jasmine’s Agrabah levels have these fun carpet-hopping moments.
It’s not super challenging, but there’s a cozy charm to wandering through these miniature versions of the movies. And yeah, you’ll probably hum along to the chiptune renditions of the songs without realizing it. If you ever wanted to mash up a bunch of Disney princess worlds into one handheld adventure, this was basically the go-to back in the day.
