Digimon Yellow Jade Game

Digimon Yellow Jade is basically the Game Boy Color Digimon game we never got back in the day—but someone finally made it. You start with your usual rookie Digimon (I went with Agumon because, well, fire breath), and the pixel art actually looks legit, like it could’ve been an official release. The battles are simple turn-based stuff, but the Digivolution paths feel way more open than I expected—my Agumon went full Tyrannomon after a few fights, which was sick.
There’s this weird little overworld to explore, with NPCs dropping hints about hidden Digimon in tall grass (sound familiar?). The music’s got that classic GBC chiptune vibe, all bleepy and nostalgic. Only gripe? Some of the grinding feels a bit much if you’re trying to hit specific Digivolutions. Still, if you ever wished Pokémon Yellow had more monster-raising and less Pikachu following you, this scratches that itch.
