You control a Digimon racer, choosing from a roster of characters like Agumon or Gabumon, and compete on tracks set in various Digital World locations. The main goal is straightforward: win races to unlock new characters, cups, and tracks. The racing itself involves drifting around corners to build a boost and using items you pick up on the track to attack opponents or defend yourself. You also have a special Digi-Beetle car that can transform, giving you a temporary speed burst or a new way to handle obstacles. The pacing is generally fast, and the computer opponents can be quite aggressive, making it challenging to secure first place. It feels like a chaotic, colorful scramble to the finish line.
