Digimon Fight Game

Digimon Fight on the Game Boy Color is one of those weird little gems that never got as much love as Pokémon, but it’s got its own charm. You start off picking your Digimon—I always went with Agumon at first, but after a few runs, Betamon’s water attacks grew on me. The battles are simple but satisfying, and watching your Digimon digivolve after leveling up never gets old.
The sprites are chunky and colorful in that classic GBC way, and the fights actually require a bit of strategy—just mashing attack won’t cut it against tougher opponents. Some of the evolutions feel random at first, but that just makes replaying it more interesting. It’s not the deepest monster battler out there, but if you’re into Digimon or just miss that late ‘90s handheld vibe, it’s a solid time.
