Digimon Battle Spirit 2 is one of those GBA games that somehow turns a fighting game into a weirdly fun platformer brawler. You pick your Digimon—Agumon, Veemon, Renamon, whoever—and then it’s basically a chaotic dash through side-scrolling stages, smacking other Digimon around while collecting orbs to power up. The controls are simple, but some Digimon feel way faster or hit harder than others, so you’ll probably swap favorites a few times.
It’s got that early 2000s Digimon energy, with chunky sprites and flashy attacks that look great on the small screen. Not the deepest fighter, but perfect for quick matches when you just want to wreck stuff as a tiny dinosaur. The soundtrack’s got some surprisingly hype battle tunes, too.
