Play Dexter's Laboratory : Deesaster Strikes! Online

I picked up Dexter's Laboratory: Deesaster Strikes! back when it came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It was developed by Vicarious Visions, a studio that made a lot of solid licensed games for handhelds during that period. This was a time when you could find a game for just about any cartoon on the shelves, and this one was squarely in that category, a side-scrolling action platformer based on the Cartoon Network show.

You primarily control Dexter, and your main goal is to fix the chaos Dee Dee has unleashed by messing with his inventions. The gameplay involves moving from one screen to the next, navigating platforms and fighting off various robotic enemies. You use a basic punch attack for most foes, but you also get to build and use specific gadgets, like a shrink ray, to solve environmental puzzles and progress. The levels are fairly linear, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in certain sections, especially with some tricky platforming. It feels like a straightforward mission to clean up a mess, capturing the show's tone of a frustrated genius dealing with his sister's antics.
