About Dexter's Laboratory : Chess Challenge
I picked up Dexter's Laboratory: Chess Challenge for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was published by The Game Factory, and it fit right in with the other cartoon licensed games of that era. You don't see many games based on Dexter's Lab anymore, so it was a specific kind of title for its time.
You control Dexter, navigating through his laboratory one screen at a time. The main goal is to stop Mandark, who has scattered chess pieces all over the lab; you have to find and collect them. The gameplay involves a lot of platforming, avoiding robotic enemies, and solving simple puzzles to progress. It's not a particularly long or difficult game, which makes it a straightforward playthrough. The whole experience feels like a quick, light adventure inside the cartoon's world.
