Densha de Go! is one of those weird little Japan-only train sims that somehow makes driving a commuter rail line weirdly intense. You're staring at a tiny Game Boy Color screen, trying to hit stations on time while managing speed and signals—mess up and you'll hear that awful buzzer sound. The controls take a second to click (why is the brake button there?), but once it does, you'll catch yourself leaning into turns like you're actually at the helm. It's oddly satisfying nailing a perfect stop after botching the last three.
Definitely not for everyone, but train nerds will love the bizarrely specific details, like different handling for each model. Just don't expect an English patch—menus are all in Japanese, but the icons are clear enough to stumble through.
