Densetsu No Starfy is one of those GBA games that just oozes charm—you control this little star-shaped dude who can swim, spin, and even do this weird floaty glide thing. The controls feel surprisingly smooth for a water-based platformer, which is rare since most underwater levels in games are kinda clunky.
Right away, you're thrown into these bright, bubbly levels with coral reefs, pirate ships, and all sorts of quirky enemies. Some stages have you chasing down a runaway octopus, others make you solve little puzzles by flipping switches or bouncing off jellyfish. The music’s got that classic GBA bounciness too—catchy without being annoying.
It’s not super hard, but there’s enough variety to keep it interesting. You’ll unlock new moves as you go, and some later levels actually get pretty creative with the mechanics. If you miss the days when platformers were just pure, uncomplicated fun, this one’s a solid pick.
