Densetsu No Starfy 2 is one of those GBA games that just oozes charm—you’re basically a little star-shaped dude (Starfy, obviously) who swims, flutters, and bounces through these bright, bubbly underwater worlds. The controls feel floaty in a good way, like you’re actually gliding through water, and the levels mix simple platforming with these weird little puzzles where you’re pushing blocks or flipping switches.
What I love is how much personality it has—Starfy’s got this dopey grin, enemies are these silly sea creatures, and there’s even a weird frog guy who pops up to give you hints. The music’s got that classic GBA chip-tune cheeriness, and some of the later levels actually get pretty tricky with tight jumps and hidden paths. It’s not some hardcore challenge, but it’s the kind of game where you’ll grin the whole time just because it’s so dang cheerful.
If you’ve ever played Kirby or Yoshi’s Island and liked the vibe, this is right up that alley—just underwater and with way more jellyfish. Definitely a hidden gem if you can track it down.
