Densetsu No Stafi 3 is one of those weird, charming GBA platformers that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this goofy energy that just works. You’re Stafy, a little starfish prince (yes, really) who spins and flutters through underwater levels, smacking enemies with your tail. The controls feel floaty at first, but once you get the hang of darting around coral reefs and dodging jellyfish, it clicks.
This time, some lightning disaster at the palace unleashes Ogura again (classic), so you’re teaming up with Kyorosuke, your frog buddy, to clean up the mess. The levels are bite-sized but packed with secrets—like hidden shells that unlock mini-games or alternate routes. And the art? Super bright, almost like a cartoon. If you’ve played the other Stafi games, you’ll recognize the same silly humor, but even if you haven’t, it’s easy to jump into.
Just don’t expect a hardcore challenge—it’s more about exploring and vibing with the cheerful soundtrack while you poke around for collectibles. Perfect for short bursts or lazy afternoons.
