About Densetsu No Stafi 2 (j)(eurasia)
Densetsu no Stafi 2 came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo in Japan. It arrived when the GBA library was rich with platformers and action games, offering a bright, cartoonish alternative to more serious titles. This was a time when portable games often focused on quick, satisfying play sessions, and Stafi 2 fit right into that style.
You control Stafi, a young starfish prince who spins like a propeller to swim through underwater and land based stages. Your main goal is to rescue your mother, the Mama Star, after the villain Ogura escapes his jar prison. The game progresses screen by screen, clearing enemies and obstacles in small, self contained areas. Stafi's primary move is his spin attack, which defeats foes and can be charged for a more powerful dash; you also collect sea pearls to unlock new worlds and find hidden items to progress. The pacing is generally relaxed, with puzzles and exploration taking precedence over intense difficulty, though some later stages require precise timing. It feels like a cheerful, methodical adventure where each new screen presents a small, solvable challenge.
