Denki Blocks! came out for the Game Boy Color in 2001, developed by Denki. It was part of that wave of late GBC puzzle games that really tried to squeeze every bit of logic out of the hardware before the Advance took over. You would see it in those plastic cases on store shelves, a small box with bright colors promising a serious mental workout.

You control a cursor to select and move colored blocks around a grid. The goal is to connect all the blocks of the same color into a single group. The main mechanics involve sliding entire rows or columns of blocks to create these connections, but you have to work around immovable walls and a strict move limit. Later levels introduce special blocks that change color or act as wildcards, forcing you to plan several steps ahead. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty ramps up significantly, making some later puzzles feel like untangling a knot. Solving a particularly stubborn stage gives a quiet, satisfying click in your brain.
