About Davis Cup (e)(menace)
I picked up Davis Cup for the Game Boy Advance back when it came out, a tennis game from a European publisher. It was one of many sports titles on the system, aiming to capture the feel of the real team competition on a handheld screen. You don't see many people talking about it now, but it was there, part of the library you'd browse through at the store.
You control a tennis player, moving them around the court to return serves and volley. The main goal is to win matches for your country, progressing through the tournament brackets. The gameplay involves timing your swings for different shot types, like lobs and slices, and managing your player's positioning. It moves at a brisk pace, though the computer opponents can be unforgiving if you misjudge a shot. Playing it feels like a straightforward test of your reflexes and anticipation on the digital clay.
