Players control one of two factions vying for dominance in the fantasy realm of Tahr Carog, where the balance of power has been disrupted by the loss of one of two twin orbs. The core objective is to defeat the opponent who holds the matching orb, ultimately seizing both artifacts to claim victory. Before each match, players allocate a set budget of credits to assemble their forces from a roster of sixteen distinct characters, and they can also purchase defensive traps or magical rings that enhance their units' capabilities.

Gameplay unfolds on a grid-based battlefield where players alternate turns moving their purchased units. The structure involves positioning units to attack opposing forces or to capture strategic points, with combat resolved through direct, automated clashes when units occupy the same space. Progression through a match requires careful management of the initial force composition and tactical deployment, as players must outmaneuver their opponent to eliminate key units and secure the enemy's power orb.
