Danny Phantom: Urban Jungle is one of those GBA games that nails the cartoon's vibe—you're zipping around Amity Park as Danny, phasing through walls and blasting ghosts with ecto-blasts. The levels are packed with weird little details, like random citizens freaking out when a ghost floats by or the way the town actually feels alive (well, as alive as a pixelated GBA game can).
At first, the controls take a second to click—double-tapping to fly feels awkward until you get used to it—but once you do, pulling off mid-air dodges and quick shots feels smooth. The ghosts aren’t just reskins either; some teleport, others split into smaller copies, and a few just rush you like they’ve got a personal grudge. It’s not super deep, but for a licensed game, it’s way more fun than it had any right to be.
If you grew up watching the show, this one’s a nostalgia trip worth playing.
