Danan - The Jungle Fighter is one of those weird, janky Sega Master System platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this jungle warrior dude who punches snakes, jumps over pits, and throws boomerangs at... whatever those enemy sprites are supposed to be. The controls feel a little stiff at first, but after a few lives you get used to the rhythm of it.

What really stands out is the bizarre atmosphere—the colors are weirdly vibrant, the music has this repetitive jungle drum thing going on, and some levels just drop you into pitch-black caves where you can barely see the platforms. Not gonna lie, I died a lot to cheap hits from off-screen enemies, but there’s something oddly satisfying about mastering its clunky charm.

If you’re into obscure retro platformers with personality, this one’s a trip.
