About Dan Doh!! Xi
Dan Doh!! Xi came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by Kodansha. It was part of that wave of sports manga adaptations on the GBA, a time when you could find a game for almost any popular series. This one is based on the golf manga Dan Doh!!, and it tries to capture the feeling of competitive junior golf.
You control a young golfer, progressing through tournaments and matches. The main goal is to climb the ranks by winning events. The gameplay focuses on a three-click swing meter for power and accuracy, reading the wind and lie of the ball, and managing your golfer's limited stamina. Matches move at a deliberate pace, demanding careful calculation on every shot rather than quick reflexes. It feels like a thoughtful puzzle where a single misjudged putt can change the entire round.
