Cyborg Hunter (usa, Europe) Game

Cyborg Hunter on the Sega Master System is one of those weird, janky action-platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this dude in a futuristic city blasting rogue cyborgs with a gun that feels like it shoots marshmallows at first—until you realize you can charge it for a beefier shot. The levels are maze-like, with doors leading to different sections, and the enemies respawn if you backtrack, which is equal parts annoying and oddly satisfying when you mow them down again.
It’s got that classic 8-bit charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and a soundtrack that’s equal parts synth and beeps. Not gonna lie, the controls take a minute to get used to, especially the way you have to hold down to aim diagonally. But once it clicks, there’s something weirdly addictive about clearing rooms of robots while hunting for keycards to progress. Definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into retro oddities, it’s got personality.
