Cyber Shinobi, The (europe) Game

Cyber Shinobi on the Sega Master System is one of those classic ninja action games that feels way ahead of its time. You slash through cyberpunk levels with a mix of throwing stars and sword attacks, dodging lasers and weird robot enemies. The first stage throws you right into a neon-lit city—it’s got that old-school arcade vibe where you either learn the patterns fast or die trying.
What’s cool is how it blends traditional ninja stuff with sci-fi. One minute you’re deflecting bullets, the next you’re jumping over conveyor belts in some factory. The controls take a second to get used to (that double jump is weirdly floaty), but once it clicks, chaining moves feels satisfying. Also, the boss fights are brutal in the best way—expect to retry a few times.
If you’re into retro action games with a challenge, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t expect mercy from the later levels.
