Curious George on the GBA is exactly what you'd hope for—a bright, bouncy little platformer that feels like playing through one of the books. You're mostly hopping between rooftops, dodging pigeons (why do they hate George so much?), and collecting bananas while the Man in the Yellow Hat yells things like "Be careful!" in that vaguely concerned dad voice. The levels are short and sweet, which is perfect because, let's be real, George has the attention span of a toddler hyped up on juice boxes.
Some of the puzzles are stupidly simple—like stacking boxes to reach a window—but there's something weirdly satisfying about watching George flail his limbs when he falls. The art style nails the book's scribbly watercolor look, and the music is all jaunty xylophones and mischief. Just don't expect a challenge—this is pure comfort food for anyone who grew up with the little troublemaker.
