Remember Croc? That little green dude with the wobbly run? This one's the GBC version of Croc 2, and it's got that same weirdly charming vibe where you're just a crocodile trying to save these tiny fluffball creatures called Gobbos. You'll hop between floating islands, butt-stomp enemies (because of course crocodiles fight with their butts), and collect way too many gems—like, seriously, they're everywhere.

At first it feels like a standard collect-a-thon, but then you realize you actually spend those gems on upgrades and weird little power-ups. The controls take a second to get used to—Croc turns like a shopping cart with a stuck wheel—but once it clicks, you'll be bouncing off platforms and dodging those annoying bat things. It's janky in that classic late-90s way, but if you liked the PS1 version, this portable take is surprisingly decent.

Just don't expect it to be as smooth as Mario. Croc's always been his own kind of awkward, and that's kinda the point.
