Crazy Cows is a turn-based strategy game released in 1998 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed and published by Runt time. The game presents a tactical conflict between two teams of cows, viewed from a third-person perspective, where the objective is to eliminate the opposing herd.

Players control a team of cows, differentiated only by color, on a grid-based battlefield. The core gameplay alternates between movement and combat phases. Each cow has a set number of Movement Points used to navigate the map, explore grey areas obscured by a fog of war, and search for weapons like katanas or shotguns scattered across the terrain. Weapons are picked up automatically when a cow moves onto their square, which also changes the cow's appearance and combat capabilities. Strategic positioning on the map is a key part of the movement phase, allowing players to prepare for offensive or defensive actions.

Combat is determined by the weapon a cow carries. A cow that obtains a katana transforms visually and becomes a melee unit, requiring adjacency to an enemy to attack. A cow that picks up a shotgun becomes a ranged unit capable of attacking enemies from a distance, provided there is a clear line of sight. The fog of war mechanic means players must use their movement to reveal the map and locate enemy units, with revealed areas remaining visible. Victory is achieved by defeating all members of the opposing team through these tactical engagements.
