Crash of the Titans came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2007, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was part of that later wave of GBA titles where developers were really pushing what the hardware could do visually, with more detailed sprites and effects. You step back into the shoes of Crash Bandicoot, but this time the adventure feels a bit different from the pure platforming of the earlier games.

You control Crash directly, running through levels and fighting a variety of mutants. Your main goal is to stop Doctor Neo Cortex and his latest scheme, which involves rescuing your sister Coco along the way. The signature mechanics are the combat and the "jacking" system. You can punch and spin attack enemies, but the big twist is that you can leap onto the backs of larger mutants, briefly taking control of them to use their powerful abilities to smash through obstacles and other foes. You also collect Mojo, which is used to upgrade Crash's moves and the abilities of the titans you commandeer. The pacing is generally brisk, with the challenge coming more from the brawling encounters than precision platforming. It feels like a chaotic, hands-on brawl where you're constantly looking for the next big creature to hijack and turn against your enemies.
