Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure on GBA is basically a pocket-sized version of the classic PS1 chaos—just with slightly fewer polygons and way more portable charm. You’re still spinning, jumping, and getting wrecked by those weirdly placed crates (seriously, who stacks them like that?). The levels feel familiar but condensed, like they squeezed the essence of Crash into a tiny cartridge.
First few minutes? You’ll bounce off a nitro crate, curse, then immediately retry because the controls are surprisingly tight for a handheld port. The graphics are bright and chunky in that early GBA way, and the music’s got that same bouncy energy—though it’s definitely tinny through the little speaker. If you’ve played the originals, it’s a nostalgia trip; if not, it’s a solid intro to Crash’s brand of platforming madness. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
