Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced on the GBA is basically a pocket-sized version of the chaos you'd expect from Crash—just with a few twists. Instead of the usual linear path, you get this weird, floating level hub where you can pick stages in any order. Some are classic side-scrolling platforming, others throw in weird gimmicks like riding a polar bear or bouncing on nitro crates (yes, still terrifying).
It’s got that same janky charm where you’ll miss jumps because Crash’s hitbox feels slightly off, but you’ll keep retrying anyway. The music’s surprisingly decent for a GBA title, and the sprite work actually holds up. Not as polished as the PS1 games, but way better than it had any right to be on a handheld.
If you’ve got nostalgia for early 2000s platformers, this one’s a solid time-waster. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
