So, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro teaming up? Yeah, it’s as weird and fun as it sounds. This GBA game throws them together against Cortex and Ripto, who’ve somehow decided to cause chaos together. You’ll switch between Crash’s spin attacks and Spyro’s fire breath—kinda janky at first, but once you get the hang of it, bouncing between their moves feels surprisingly smooth.
The levels are classic Crash-style platforming with some Spyro-flavored twists—expect plenty of crates to smash, gems to collect, and the occasional dragon enemy that makes you wish you’d picked Spyro for that section. The sprite work’s decent for a GBA game, though Crash’s jumps can feel a little floaty if you’re used to the PS1 versions.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into weird crossovers or just want more Crash on the go, it’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect it to top the console classics.
