I picked up Cocoto: Platform Jumper for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a release from Neko Entertainment. It was part of that wave of European-developed platformers that showed up on the handheld, often with a distinct, slightly quirky feel compared to the bigger names from Japan or America. You don't hear much about it now, but it had a presence on the shelf next to more familiar titles.

You control a little red demon named Cocoto, and your job is to rescue your kidnapped fairy friends from a giant monster. The game is structured screen by screen; you jump between platforms, avoid enemies and pits, and collect magic orbs to unlock the exit. A key mechanic is your ability to switch between two weapons, a sword for close combat and a bow for hitting distant targets or switches. The pacing is deliberate, demanding careful jumps and some enemy pattern recognition, and the difficulty can spike in later levels. It feels like a methodical, sometimes punishing test of your basic platforming skills.
