Cloud Master on the Sega Master System is one of those weirdly charming shooters where you ride a cloud—yes, an actual cloud—and blast everything from floating eyeballs to angry suns. The controls are simple (just up, down, and shoot), but the screen scrolls automatically, so you’re constantly dodging enemy waves while trying not to ram into obstacles.

The pixel art has that classic late-80s arcade vibe—bright colors, chunky sprites—and the music is way catchier than it has any right to be. The first boss is this giant, grinning moon that spits smaller moons at you, which pretty much sets the tone for the whole game: equal parts cute and chaotic.

It’s not the deepest shooter out there, but there’s something satisfying about weaving through bullet patterns while riding a fluffy cloud. If you’re into retro arcade weirdness, this one’s a solid time capsule.
