Ice Climber on the GBA is basically the same old NES classic, just portable now. You play as Popo (or Nana if you’ve got a buddy), smashing blocks above you with a goofy little mallet to climb icy mountains. The controls feel a bit stiff at first—expect to miss a few jumps while you get used to the timing.

Those polar bears and weird seal enemies are still as annoying as ever, but whacking them with your hammer never gets old. The screen doesn’t scroll smoothly—it jumps section by section, which can mess you up if an enemy appears right as you climb. Honestly, it’s janky in that nostalgic way, but it’s still weirdly satisfying to chip your way to the top.
