Chuck Rock is one of those weirdly charming Sega Master System games where you play as a caveman who fights dinosaurs by... belly-flopping them. Yeah, you read that right. Your main attack is literally slamming your gut into enemies, which never stops being ridiculous. You can also pick up rocks to chuck (hence the name), but honestly, the belly attacks are way more fun.

The levels are full of classic platforming—jumping over pits, dodging pterodactyls, that sort of thing—but the real appeal is how goofy the whole thing feels. The animations are surprisingly smooth for an 8-bit game, especially when Chuck waddles around with his big ol’ caveman gut. It’s not the hardest game out there, but it’s got enough charm to keep you grinning between belly slams.

Just don’t expect a deep story—your wife gets kidnapped, and you punch dinosaurs. That’s pretty much it.
