Chicken Shoot came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2007 from ZOO Digital Publishing. It was one of those many lighthearted games that filled out the library for the handheld, arriving late in the system's life when simpler, pick-up-and-play titles were still common. You control a little character with a crossbow, and your job is to shoot chickens that pop up from behind obstacles. The main objective is to clear each level by hitting a set number of targets before time runs out. The gameplay involves quick aiming and firing, watching for different colored chickens that might be worth more points, and avoiding the occasional non-target like a cow that will cost you if you shoot it. The pace is generally fast, and the difficulty comes from the increasing speed and number of targets. It feels like a straightforward test of your reflexes more than anything else.
