About Chaoji Maliou (c)(wrg)
Chaoji Maliou (C)(WRG) is a Game Boy Advance title released in 2000, developed and published by Nintendo. It arrived early in the GBA's life, a time when many players were discovering what the handheld could do with bright colors and smooth scrolling. This version is the official Chinese localization of Super Mario Bros. 2, recognizable by the iQue branding on its title screen.
You control Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Toadstool, each with unique jumping and lifting abilities. Your goal is to progress through side scrolling stages, defeating enemies not by jumping on them, but by plucking vegetables and other items from the ground to throw. You explore the world screen by screen, climbing vines to discover secret areas and collecting magic potions that reveal hidden doors. The game focuses more on careful platforming and item management than the typical run and jump action.
