Championship Hockey (europe) Game

Championship Hockey for the Sega Master System is exactly what it sounds like—fast, simple hockey with that classic 8-bit charm. The controls are straightforward (pass, shoot, check), but the AI actually puts up a decent fight, especially on higher difficulties. The pixelated players glide smoothly, and there’s something satisfying about the way the puck bounces off the boards just like the real thing.
It’s not the deepest hockey sim out there, but for a quick game with a buddy or even against the CPU, it holds up surprisingly well. The European version tweaks a few things from the original, like slightly smoother animations—nothing groundbreaking, but nice if you’re picky about retro sports games. Just don’t expect modern NHL-level depth.
If you’re into old-school sports titles, this one’s a solid time capsule from the Master System era.
