Centipede on the Game Boy Color came out in 1998, published by Hasbro Interactive. It was part of that wave of classic arcade games getting portable versions, fitting right in with the kind of quick, pick-up-and-play action the system was known for.

You control a small ship, called the Blaster, at the bottom of the screen. Your main goal is to stop the centipede and a host of other insects from reaching the bottom and destroying you. You shoot mushrooms to clear paths, which forces the centipede to change direction and break into smaller, faster segments. Other enemies like spiders and fleas add to the chaos, making you constantly shift your focus between clearing obstacles and dodging threats. The game starts slow but the pace quickly becomes frantic as the screen fills with more bugs and obstacles. It feels tense and demanding, requiring sharp reflexes and constant movement to survive.
